OK is everyone familiar with Lego??? those little plastic bricky thingys? Well now you can create your own Legoavatar...or Legotar at www.reasonablyclever.com

Here's mine...don't forget to add your paintgun...i'm sure you geeks can do far better than me..a whole sup'air field or something? I'd love to see a lego angel or 'cocker.....

Hi Steph & Sparklie

Assuming you have been to the site & created your lego person...press control & Prt Sc (print screen) buttons on keyboard together. Then go to Start..programmes...accessories...paint and select edit...paste. You then get the whole screen pasted into paint. next draw a box around the bit of the pic you want..ie the lego person. To do this click on th frame icon (a dotted rectangle) and use the mouse to click & drag a box around it. Then edit..copy. Then File..new,...edit paste and save as file type JPEG Then you can draw on paintgun using the tools and save again! Then the tricky bit as i dont know what picture editing software you have...I use sony picturegearlite....open the file within your picture editing application and resize to 75 x 75 pixels or less as our fave website wont accept anything larger!! You know how to do the rest don't you (ie to make it your avatar??) Sounds complicated but only takes a few mins...honest!

Go to file-save as, select all files-then type picname.jpg then press ok

if you open the 'paint' software and draw something you can save it. Click save as and under the name bar is somehing that says like bmp or bitmap. Click on that and you get a few options. Select JPEG and save. The image quality can occasionally degrade.

I do believe that paint does not support .jpgs, thats why you have to type it in.

Paint supports jpg on Windows 2000 and later (i think). Anything prior to that is BMP only.

OK I have a few avatars I'd like to try but only have paint...what c program do I need to get that will convert a bmp to a jpeg??
