Bore size is based around the size of the paint, sure .693 is standard, yet it can vary, thats why its a great idea to buy something like a freak, and by a boremaster kit, that way you can easily match your paint to a bore, which helps with accuracy

My 2p worth :p Hope it shed some light

Can't go wrong with .693. It's better to overbore than get too small a bore and smash paint in your barrel and have to fluffy that shizz out mid-game.

I Totally agree with Devrij, overboring is your best bet ;)
obviously dot'n overbore to a size like a tennisball cannon though :D

BTW, i'v played a game with just a freak back on my shocker before, only need those magic 6" of a barrel back for the paint to fly straight... sounds bloody loud though haha

I have a selection of kits & sizes to pick from, and always check barrel to paint fit before a game. A 689-693" suits most of the paint I shoot, and a bigger bore helps prevent breaks at the expense of a little gas efficiency.

Current favourite combo is Un1tech or Dye ultralite.
