looking thru the sales bit of the forum i see many UL barrels and such but many r .692 . i dont see many .689 which is the same bore as the paint i use (tomahawk competition and finest) would jumping up that little bit make much difference in my marker performance and shot straightness?

I think it does, if your bore to paint size is that differant it can give the ball space to move around alot more in the barrel (well this is how i always thought it was) If you really want the most accuracy possible get the right bore size. If you aren't bothered about pin point precision and as long as it goes where you want your happy, get any size upwards pretty much.

last time i used tomahawk the size went from 688 to being stuck in my 694 was like a box of rugby balls but might have been just that box

but if the paint you are shooting doesnt break in your barrel stick to the one you are using my old boomstick used to be like the tighter to the ball the better or so they say

get a barrel kit that has several sized barrels, or a few different sized barrels. You will find that the paint size changes per box.
