cut the american adapter of strip some of the wires back until u can c thye earth, live and neutral wire then just wire it into an english plug as that will convert the voltage automatically

Erm...no it wont..it will just mean that he is able to plug his 110V equipment into a 240-250V supply...and POP will be the answer.

Get an adapter from a travel shop...Argos etc.

just a standard adaptor?

read a note on one of them-

"PLEASE NOTE: This item does not convert voltage. Please ensure your device is suitable for use UK Voltage 220-240V otherwise damage will occur."

Well...whatever...but certainly better advice than cut the plug off and put a 3 pin on it! Surely?!

Buy it and see what happens....you should be able to get something sorted..if not...just ask them to send teh battery, and find your own charger in teh uk.

Email the guy and ask his opinion

this has to be some of the stupidest advice Ive ever seen given out on these boards WTF :eek:- BTW stand in the bath while you plug it in .......fooks sake

Good god man! I hope you live next door to a fire station/burns unit!

On a more serious note, having read the thread on PBNation (yes I know!) it seems the charger was built specially for this setup. Not sure if he had the vision to imagine it being used in the UK though. Best you e-mail the chap I suppose...
