Seeing as i am starting boarding school next year was wondering if there are any ballers out there that go to boarding school but still play.
Just a few questions
1.where do you keep your stuff after playing
2.how do you get to the site, is there normally transportation given by the school
3.does the school even let you go
4.are you allowed to get your gun out (obv in your room) to clean it and stuff
I would really appreciate it if someone could answer theses questions because i am worried about my future in paintball:eek:

Regarding storing markers then I expect them to be kept under lock & key
Not only the obvious things of a boarding school not wanting kids to have free access to a paintball marker in school, or looking after valuables, but there are legal issues wih paintball guns particularly with recent legislation on the securing of 'air weapons' whenever minors have access to the building

I was going to go to boarding school but didn´t end up going and i got these questions answered, so here is whatr i found but i am guessing it is different school to school.
1) I asked about it on campus, was told flat out NO!
2) they won´t take you to the site, all your things to sort out
3) you can play as long as your parents pick you up from school and take responsibility whilst your not at school, So you can go if your picked up and dropped of at the school by parents/carers.
4) NO, most schools won´t allow them on campus let alone in your room.

So boarding school is very bad for paintball in short , will prob have to quit whilst your in school

if i got transportation sorted and then left my gear bag with the site owner or someone like that, do u think that could be possible? so none of my gear will be on campus.

Hi, I finished at boarding school last year. I had no problems carrying on playing paintball whilst I was there but whether or not you will be able to pretty much rests on your level of common sense. I kept my stuff hidden under my bed at all times and would only get it out for cleaning but would pick my times carefully (eg not when it was likely people would be coming into my room).

As for transport, It was a strugle but a mix of my mum being a hero and driving me around most weekends, mates giving me lifts and trains meant that I was able to train nearly every weekend in my last year.

On the most part the school didn't know. Sometimes i did need to miss school to attend events. The trick with this is when asking permision from your housemaster of whoever is in charge not to say to them 'is it ok if I miss school to go play paintball?'. They would think of someones birthday party running around in the woods and say no.

Try and get one of your parents to write in explaining and avoid using words and terms containing the word 'paintball'. For example, if I needed to miss school I would get my mum to write in saying that I had a major speedball event on whatever date and my team needed me there as we had been training towards it for months. Possibly try and big yourself up a bit and come up with fancy names for events like 'uk championship' ect thus making the impression that it is extremely important.

so you didn't tell them you had a paintball gun under bed? Didnt anyone get curious about the large bag.
But i think the transportation is the biggest issue for me because i would be an overseas boarder so my parents aren't even in the country!

my bed had doors so you couldnt see what was under it, doesn't matter if they see your bag just aslong as if they ask you say you don't have a gun
