Blowback, the Devils work; or a sheep in wolfs clothing?

With the advent of the Halo and force feed hoppers, is blowback such an issue these days?

Ok, efficiency will be down due to the wasted gas, but the force on the balls will prevent them from moving in the feed tube like with non force feed hoppers..so it is such a big deal?
