As your reading it try and guess what the problem is :)

Setup
Techt Lightening Rod
Rap4 Squishy paddles

JCS rachet
Techt QEPH
Upgrade Spring Kit
BeOranged Howitzer Bolt
Red power tube
Egrip
Duel trigger
All new rubbers

I borrowed my x7 out the other day and the guy I borrowed it to said he was having issues (ball brakes) which is crazy as this marker has every mod but the zero kick and I had it shooting perfect the day before. The guy gave up as his marker was doing the same so I bought the rest of the paint off him guy and it was braking inside my timmy too so that’s one problem solved.

So I decided to strip the x7 down and clean all the paint out and polish all the internals while I was there to give it a better rate of fire.

This is were the problems started :(

I put the entire marker back together like I had 20x before this and gave it a quick test. The bolt wasn't recoiling far enough for the up rated spring to hit the pin hard enough so the bolt was just bouncing between the spring and the pin and never locking on the trigger.

At this point I thought crap I’ve polished it to far. So I decided to swop the up rated hard spring to a softer version. Still no joy :(

Next was stripping the marker down again and looking if the bolt was catching on the power tube. So I stripped the power tube down and lubed up the spring, seals and changed the o ring on the bolt. All back together and still a problem.

Then I thought maybe it was the Egrip giving me crap. So I rest the grip to factory settings and also gave it some extra lube and added an up rated spring to the bolt catch. Then still the same problem so I swopped the response trigger on thinking the std settings of the Egrip was holding the solenoid open to long so the bolt wasn’t catching. Still problems.

At this point I thought I had an expensive lump of metal.

Then I noticed that the rubber clasp that holds the balls in the barrel had swelled quite allot and was catching on the BeOranged Howitzer Bolt.

Bingo after all that!!! I can’t believe it was that in the end and now the marker is better than ever and works a treat. It’s amazing what 1cm of rubber can do

Just thought I’d share my week long frustration.

The norm problem with this is to much lube on the ram or bolt.

When i put the power tube in a noticed that it used more gas and made a diffrent noise thats it. The reason i replaced it was cos the standard one was cracking.

So things to try
Clean the ram and bolt
Replace the orings ( http://wearepaintball.com/products.php?show=detail&id=1110 )
alter the alen key in the side to allow more air out
check the spring in the back maybe buy an uprated set (http://wearepaintball.com/products.php?show=detail&id=1518)
