Bloody Halo!!!

ok, i got a Halo b and there's something wrong with it. basically it just does not turn on. First time it happened, i took it apart put new batteries in, cleaned the eyes and slapped a v35 board in it instead of the v30 board and it worked. i arrived at training at to my surprise the bloody thing stopped working again, so i took it apart checked the lot, there is power going through it, so its not the battery, ive used 18 different new batteries on the thing so its not them. It just Does Not Turn on help much appreciated.

sounds like your pp9 connector

i had the same problem but mine would work fine then cut out

get a new pp9 connector from maplins (49p i think) and solder onto your existing wiring

i'm using duracel aa batteries. and on note to the pp9 connector, i'll have a try next time i pop down my nearest electronical store, thanks for the help guys it's much appreciated.

try to see if it works without the shells and the backplate. I had a problem where my switch was stuck on so it wouldn't turn on or respond at all. Then make sure wires arent too tight, connections.... if not try thr board in another halo..

when you try to turn it on does your light on the front light up.if so see if your centre screw on your feed wheel isnt to tight if it is your wheel wont spin

With the PP3 connector (yes, 9v are called PP3 not PP9)


You may find that the Female connector on it, the square ish one, needs squishing in a bit...I had one that would just randomly stop, after much swearing and slapping of punters, I noticed this, squished it, sorted
