These are pretty new markers, so I doubt you'll find anyone with long-term insights.

When I played a couple of weeks ago, there were two Black Draguns on the field. I talked to the owners about what they thought of the markers, and came to some of my own conclusions. I also played around with one inside of a store. Here's what I found:
1. Low price
2. Fast trigger (feels like a mouse click).
3. VERY loud out of the box (first time a paintball marker hurt my ears).
4. Poor accuracy out of the box.
5. Lightweight.
6. Slight kick.
7. Cheap anodizing and polishing.
8. Questionable build quality. The markers I examined had heavy scarring on the bolt after just a little use.
9. Break A LOT of paint out of the box.

Out of the box, the marker runs at high pressure with no regulator and a cheap barrel. Using a quality ported barrel, installing a regulator, and converting to low pressure would go a long way to increasing accuracy, reducing ball breakage, and quieting the marker down.

Personally, I would hold of purchasing this marker until others have had more experience with it. Also, other manufacturers are releasing competing products for similar prices. JT will release new electronic markers very soon, and Kingman and PMI both have electronic markers out. The Piranha Pro TS with Storm frame is a nice marker with lots of upgrades, but costs a bit more.

Planet are selling `em ,I`ve used one and the triggers as nice as my Emag and it shot pretty well. At £175 + vat you can`t go wrong ,I`m buying one to mess about with as I think they have a lot of potentional and use low cost Spyder bits.

I wonder if these guns can really peform, their price is way below that of an impulse or cocker, would you be waisting your money?

E-99

Emailed Ledz about the SPyder E-99, I was thinking about buying one instead of an impulse. Apparently the E-99 is quite fast the only think Ledz could say about it was "a spyder is still just a spyder" he recommended the extra cash for a Impy, but I'm still holding out for the E-99, might have a go of one first.

My experience is to stay away from spyder type guns with the exception of the Piranha, and given the choice between what it would cost you to have a Black Dragun running well, like with a barrel, reg, and nitro, an Impulse or stock Cocker is a far better buy. Also there is the caveat of buying an electro too soon--bad habits can develop, and also owning one can keep the owner out of lower level walk on play that is needed to develop as an effective player. ("Whaaaa...he's got a better gun that us, we don't want to play with him!" and other drivel.)
