It was late and I didn't feel like going into detail, but since you enquire I will now.
I bought a BKO. It was backordered, so it took about a week longer to get it. No big deal, but that was just the start of the troubles. When I first aired up the gun, it simply wouldn't fire more than one shot, then it would starve itself because of a bad reg. So, I spent $15 to ship it back to ICD, where they "fixed" it and then paid $15 for it to be shipped back to me. After that $30 adventure, it still did the same thing, however they told me it worked fine. I called ICD and talked to Victor, and he basically had no idea what was going on, and told me to send it back, directly to him, and he would take care of it personally. That sounded pretty good to me, so I spent another $30 and when it came back, it finally shot....well, ok. So I took the gun out the next weekend to play, and after 3 games the ball detent went out, I mean the delrin ball literally was missing from the rest of the detent. I had not even taken 500 shots with it yet and the detent was out. I went to my local store the next week and bought another detent for $10, and then went to play again the next weekend. And what a surprise, a leak from the valve area. Now I had just had enough, so basically I called ICD and told them look, you sold me this piece of crap and it hasn't worked in 2 months (that is how long it had been at that point). I told them I wanted to exchange it, hopefully for a B2k. They said that was fine, but they did charge me a 20% restocking fee on the BKO and on the b2k and they charged me their price of $500 compared to the price of $440 at most online stores. In the end, I lost about $200 on that piece of crap, and it NEVER worked. I just thank god that the b2k worked for the 8 months I had it.
ICD seems like an alright company, but I will never own another one of their products again. My experiece with them was absolutely horrible.
However, I will admit that I probably got a lemon and most other BKOs aren't quite that bad, but you never want to take that chance, do you? Also, the newest frames have massive ammounts of bounce. They will go full auto and not stop even when you take your finger off the trigger, if you want to play tournaments at all that is not acceptable.
That is why I would go with a cocker, or even an impulse (although I don't like what SP is doing) over ICD products. My comment was not an issue of personal preference, well actually it was, but I think most others prefer a working gun too.
