I know we play paintball for the fun and love of the game, but when a company starts charging £5 a day to fill you air tank and £1 for each Co2 fill, which has allready cost £60 to enter the game then someone is ripping us off big style, please check out the prices below from the web site. it does not state this on the booking forms.

Own Gunner Price = £60 inc ticket, 1st box of paint / 2000 BYO thereafter

Air HPAC will have air in both basecamps filling up to 4500psi at £5 all day unlimited air fills.

Co2 5 Double fill stations at each basecamp at £1 per fill.

Why have you posted this in both here and speak you brains?
Okay easy solution for you, don't pay the 5 quid and take your own scuba bottles. Mind you you will have to take into account the filling of the bottles about 3 quid to 4.5 k and the cost of hauling them around to the event.
5 quid for a consistant 4.5 k fill all day doesn't seem that bad now does it? Stop whinging and stump up your cash you don't think HPAC provide this service for the fits and giggles do you they are a buisness and have overheads.

I think your missing the point, when you paid for a game it should includeAIR and or CO2, so what the company is saying is that the game realy costs £65 for players on AIR and about £75 for those on CO2 seems a lot of hidden costs, mate when the ticket does not state this, i would think a lot of players would be put off if the real costs of playing this game had been printed on the tickets.

For me don't care i can afford the costs, but paintball is about all of us thats how we get more players into the game, and if people keep ripping us off then no one will play, it' ok for people who have the best kit and can buy loads of paint, but remember those who players running Tipmans on CO2 then this type of game will cost them £10-£15 more than someone running on air why?

turtle man, dont forget that the scuba tank will only last at 4.5k for 1 fill, 2 at best, then its down to about 3.5k, slowly decreasing the more you fill.

xman, if you're going to moan, dont go, simple as. I know that there will be many many people who will gladly fill your spot.
it cant be such a rip off if 704 (i think) players played the big game last year can it.

everyone who has played paintball for a while knows that there are advantages of having air over co2, if you cant afford the extra money to pay for it at such an event, you shouldnt be playing as this sport is expensive. £10-15 as well? now i know tippmanns on co2 arent going to the most efficient of markers, but how much paint are you shooting if you are having to pay that much? that would work out at about less 200 shots per fill if you are shooting a box over the day. they arent that inefficient.

to be honest I dont like you slagging off the shop which our team is based out of, im positive they wont either and many others on here have played down at cosford many times. now the fact that the man who has come up with this idea spent most of a month on holiday working out the details of the big game shows how much dedication and effort has been put into this, as soon as this game finishes, the next one will have ideas thrown forward. now if you want to go ahead and put on your own big game, and make it cheaper and suit your every need, go ahead, but these guys arent solely in this to make money, of course they have to as they're a business, but the guys at the shop absolutely love the game. you ask most paintball shops, the profits margins are so small you'd be amazed, alot of the places keep going simply through the effort and time that they put into a game they love and enjoy, and want more and more to experience.

so give the guys a break, stop moaning about a tenner and get down there, put on ya waistcoat or high hats whatever you fancy and shoot some punk fools.

theres my 2 pence :)

yea i think the reason they state that is because quite a few ballers bring their own scuba tanks and so dont fall under the category....

bit of a cuase and effect question this one, do they bring the scuba coz they have to pay extra or do they bring it coz they want to use their own?
