Best way to undo a stuck barrel?

hey guys/girls
dunno if this is write place to put it sory mods if it isnt, and if so could you please move it for me, thanks.
Right just got a new barrel for my marker and put it on for the 1st time and now cant get the back off it. has htis happened to anyone else and if so how did you solve it?
before anyone asks yes its the correct thread, yes i have been twisting it the correct way trying to get it off.
been told to try heating the marker n cool the barrel but that isnt easy when there stuck togther.
any advice would be awasome.
I feel like a right d**k at the moment lol

moved, to Tech-room, try a leather belt around the barrel. or is the barrel has ports stick a allen key though it to give a hand

or use a strap wrench (same idea as the belt - only more technical!!)

try get a mate or parent hold the barrel and twist the gun.

When I had to take my PMR apart I found the reg was stuck tight, so 'borrowed' the thick rubber band from our dyson hoover, which amazingly gave enough grip and pressure to unscrew it.

Cut it off with a hacksaw. Or file it off. Or if it's a carbon fibre barrel, you could probably snap it off.

if you dont mind a few scrathces on the barrel place it in a vice and just twist, the vise will keep the barrel in place and it should simply come apart
