water with a drop of washing up liquid is as good as it gets. Get some microfibre cloths to wipe it clean

Cheers i'll try it out. I've heard that if you totaly submerge the whole lense at once water can get stuck in the middle of it (if its thermal) .. Is this true?
Thanks

Depending on the lens type. Much better is just plain old water. Rinse off then shake dry and as lump said a microfibre cloth to buff it off gently.

This is especially the case for lenses with any form of antifog or tinted coating. Any chemical can make the layer ome off. Unless you use a manufacturers approved product.

Water is your friend, nothing added works great.

Treated single lenses should only be cleaned with water or you will remove the anti fog coating.

Thermals, dual pane, should not be submersed as you get water between the two lenses and that is not good.

As for applying some anti fog solutions you can use the tried and tested, fairy liquid plus water, Paintball / scuba / motorbike branded anti fog.
