both loaders have thier own Pros and Cons - some add up more for other players than others.
For a start where do you play? secondly are you a "tinkerer" thirdly do you have a back up jus in case (reffering to the halo)
Halos are clearly faster as they are belt driven but because they are nothing but FORCE fed it develops its own problems in the process - Halos dont like brittle shelled paint as it does give the paint a fair bit of Redneck luving. They also tend to either Jam or believe its jamming when its not - this is also quiet often - Halos are also a little heavier - and more front heavy than back - and they also eat batteries.
Eggs are clearly slower but tend to be more of a workhorse (dont tend to break or jam)- Parts are easier to get for them but i have found the shells are just too brittle and its starting to look like a fashion statement at tourney with players using duck tape to hold the battery doors on (oh and yes im one of them).
If you shoot an eblade so you will not outshoot an egg and the egg will always make sure theres a ball in the breach when you need it so why have a loader that you wont use full potential of?

Get a reloader B from LT Paintball. You willnever go wrong with this. The profile is smaller than an egg, its balance is better and because it is sound activated it has none of the problems of jamming that afflict the HALO.

Totally agreee with all the above posts but i would get the reloader b. Not only coz its fast as fook. True you wont use the full potential like scars said but if you were to chop a ball for whatever reason and you get soup in the feed neck and it covers the eyes that are used on the egg and the halo, it will stop feeding. At least with the reloader b if the above senario does happen you can feed through it. Plus if you were to get a different marker that can go the distance with a fast loader you wont have to buy again just to realise that guns potential. My eye shorted out and i had to turn the eye off on my cocker to carry on playing. i though i was going to be fireing chutney all day but to my surprise not one chop, and i firmly belive its down to that faster load rate that gave me that reliability. (I upgraded from the egg)
Hmmmmm reloaders do haves flaws too - Ie theyre sound activated so can overfeed because of other markers especially at chrono stations, doubleing up in barricades etc

as far as feeding issues like being activated by other sounds other than your own marker its not a big concern as the motor on the reloader will stop feeding when it feels resistance to stop ball breakage. as for your friends board lasting ten mins, thats only the second bad thing ive ever heard, some fellas in southampton his reloader wouldnt stop feeding! But then again egg battery doors last 10 minutes too!
