After doing a search on thse boards and not finding much help I thought I'll post this.

What are the best type of batterys for long life with a Eblade and Egg2?
Will normal durocell 9v's be alright, or should I switch to the more expensive m3?
and is it worth the extra cost?

Cheers

in my experience, dont bother ith M3's. i bought some procell from planet for about £18,there is 10 of them so its £1.80 each. i used 2 in my eggy, and used it for 3 m25 leagues and campaign cup. after that i didnt replace them, but i lost them:( the main reason why peoples batteries drain, is because they dont turn things off, as soon as im in the dead box my hopper goes off, and when we are out of the field the gun turns off to. just gotta remember it!

I think...for the extra money..that the M3's arent worth it....i had one in my E-Blade and it actually seemed to last less tim!! but that doesnt seem likely..just how it appeared...They may be worth having for the Eggy...but at the same time...you can buy bulk battereys quite cheap...try a pr of M3's Staples were selling them 3 for 2 a while back so keep an eye out for them there.....in the E-Blade, i would stick to regular duracells..or Vatar a pretty good I here..

Batteries.

Ive investigated this in the past, true the M3 are only slightly better than standard duracells, procells are just duracells repackaged for the trade/nhs etc.

Energisers last longest if you believe the published mAh ratings.

Im talking 9v here

Ill find a good link in a minute. mAh ratings for lots of batteries.

energiser 625 mah

energiser e2 655

everready 565

energiser lithium 1200 (really hard to find, unless you work in the nhs, oh yeah... i do)

zn air 1100 (but only 8.4 v)

procell/duracell 600 mah

cant find values for m3 atm but will get back to ya.

Lets give this guy some facts not i used M3s once and they didnt seem to last as long, lots of factors get in the way of an informed opinion like that even down to the temp of the day or the speed at which you shot paint that day.

T3 magazine did a test on all the common brands of AA's using a walkman on continuous play, the winner was......Sainsbury's own brand!

I currently use www.7dayshop.com in the channel islands, Fujitsu PP3's are £12.49 for 10, AA's are £7.99 for 40. They also stock all the flash brands at very low prices. P&P is £1.95 if you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks at most, and they also sell cheap memory cards and all sorts of electronics. I'm not on commission, but these days this sport eats batteries, and any way of getting them cheaper is worth shouting about. :D
