riiigghhtt, if the whole PSP/NPPL reunification thingymajig happens, where does this leave the Milleniums? now i may be taking this wildly out of context as i do usually but i read the last page of the renuification thread and it said something about new formats etc etc.

Now im sure the milleniums said something about changing the format for the CPL. What i cant remember is if it was something completely new or if its x-ball.

assuming it is x-ball and the reunification takes place and a different format comes out where does this leave the Milleniums?

and finally - where does this reunification leave the milleniums anyway?

thank you and good night...

p.s. if all of this has been covered - someone link me up :)

Mario, aren't you the guy making fun of thread titles in SYB? Perhaps you should have added this one as it fails completely to address the topic you're curious about and may help explain why no one has responded--until now. :)
Or perhaps anyone who actually knows isn't prepared to answer publically at this time. Or, since everything seems to be up in the air at the mo final decisions are too. But Gyro had the right idea in another thread--the MS is sure to make the appropriate announcement at least a couple of weeks prior to their first 06 event so why worry, be happy.

Reunification is almost certainly not going to happen. It doesn't seem Millenium and PP have become any friendlier over the course of the past year, which just leaves whether Millenium and PSP can find a way to effectively cooperate. But it's early in the process for everyone, so don't expect anythin concrete to be decided until 2006.

hmmm, ...

my prediction would be, everything stays as it is and developes as it used to develope over the past 2 years. which also would mean stateside:

nppl gets more and more attention, money, teams, power, ...

psp will do ok, but is going to get less attention, less teams, ...

ms will be similar to what is did this year, rules constantly change, sometimes within days before an event, marshalling will be the BIG issue next year, and it will be somewhere (undecided) format wise in between nppl and psp, but as well it will still a success in europe

Excellent! Can't wait. So that is 9-ish days to go now. In response to the Mario's initial question. If there is unification and a standard format, the Millenium would be crazy not to adopt it in my opinion, as would any serious league. But whether they will or not, who knows? If we get an announcement in the next 9 days or so i expect the millenium will make an announcement in the following weeks. With any luck we might now the future of paintball by christmas. :D

MS still a success even if NPPL comes in Europe with 1 or 2 events in 2006?;)

I don't see NPPL coming into Europe this season but I do see Millennium's association with PSP sorting out some rules and sandbagging issues. Don't know about the reffing though. Depends on who they have in charge.
