barrels in wet weather.

seen several folk covering the porting in their barrels with tape and or using tubes to coveir their porting during wet weather.

My questions
A , anyone else seen it...or have i been eatinged the purple berries again
b, does this work or is it a fad

yeh its a good idea to tape it up, water in the barrel is annoying

It stops water from getting inside the barrel which can cause all kinds of wierd and not so wonderful directions for your paint to go

yeah, water on the balls will stop them flying straight.

Of course, if its still raining, they wont fly very straight after leaving the barrel anyway, but you might as well give them a fighting chance.

Be aware that your velocity will increase when you tape the holes up.

I've used pipe insulation which works really well, but you may get pulled because it's soft.

ok fair nuff with the taping yer barrel BUT hows about if you take a dive and yer barrel goes in the water? im sure no amount of tape will save ya then.
