hi all, few questions, firstly, i just bought a dmg, and got 2 barrles with it, diferent sizes, what difference would it make, and woudl using a smaller barrel in this cold temp calls balls to break.
secondly, can sombody give me some info on all acronyms, such as beaver tail, bolt, cocker etc...

None of them are acronyms mostly they are abbreviations or titles, such as cocker="auto-cocker" paintball marker, the "beaver-tail" is a fitting on the back of a "cocker" that stops the block form smacking you in the face;the "bolt" supplies the drive for the ball via the air system.
No need to know what they all mean, you'll find out as you go,it's easier to ask relevant questions pertaining to your equipment or perspective purchases.
Size the balls for the best barrel fit out of the 2 you have, the balls should have slight resistance when you blow them through.
Did you get barrels or barrles BTW...;):D

The beaver tail does stop the cocking block smacking your chin, but it was originally designed as an anti thumbing device for tourney play. The cocking rod is exposed on a WGP sniper, and you can boost velocity (cheat) by pressing on the end of it with your thumb while shooting, as it knocks the valve open further.

Paintballers cheating...:eek:..go and stand in the corner.
Did anybody really do that??Perhaps, but single shot only...
That is what the beaver tail is now described as anyway..:D

Yes I spotted players doing it on big games. It was back in the days when we all ran CO2, and cockers were harder to thumb than a pump, but it was still possible. We tested it over a chrony and you got a big jump in velocity. I couldn't really see the point of the boosted shots as it put your aim off.

After a while the tourney scene insisted on beaver tails to stop it
