Barrels and bore sizes

HI this may sound like a stupid Q but whats with all the different bore sizes on barrels? and also how do u know what size to get, i've seen freak kits with loads of inserts how do u know which 1 to use, i know it's to do with size of paintballs how do u know what sizes paintballs u av?

bore sizes

the bore sizes in barrels range in thickness.
different paint is varied in sizes.the standard bore is ".689" i think. the blue freak one..what i do is when you buy your paint run a few balls through the bore.put a ball in the end and blow through it, if it rolls through then the bore's too large. it it takes a lot of force then its too small.it should not take much force to blow it through the bore in the right one.most paint fits the standard .689.

GET THE BIGGEST BORE SIZE YOU CAN IF YOU ONLY GET ONE.

IM LAZY SO I HARDLY EVER CHECK THE BORE MATCH I JUST USE A 695 (LAGEST ONE I HAVE)

my personal pref

personaly i like a barrell that the ball doesnt just roll out the end but sits there then when a bit of air is blown on to it ,it flies down the barrell i think if u have it to the barrell is to big and the ball just roles down to easy then it isnt as accurate and doesnt have as much power

alot of players go for larger bore sizes, alot less hassle ie less barrel breaks, although you sacrafice some accuracy.
