I recently bought a 3 piece 21 inch thunder pig barrel and it really isnt shooting the way i had hoped. I thought that since it was longer that it would shoot more accurately than my 14 inch... It seems to be breaking a lot of balls and also doesnt shoot as far or as accurate as my 14 inch... The inside appears fine and everyhting but it just doesnt shoot good at all. I was owndering if there is anyhting i need to do to make my barrel shoot right.

Thanks.

Length doesn't make for greater accuracy. These are not bullets, they are more like tylenol capsules.

You get better accuracy by matching paint to barrel bore. Barrels are usually measured in increments of 1/1000 inches. Paintballs are .68 inches nominally. Actually they vary a little, by the time they dry, get exposed to humidity, or whatever. Barrels are sold in sizes like .689 or .691 or some such to enable players to get a good fit for the ball they are stuck with any given day.

If you are breaking balls in the barrel, it is probably a pretty tight fit for the paint you are using. Or it is bent. Or you are unlucky.

21 inches? Jesus, man. 14 is most comfortable for me. Anything between 10 and 16 is reasonable.

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
I've got one of those barrels for my inferno, just for fun. The key problem is that they are ****e! I even went to the trouble of re-polishing mine internally, gave it an immaculate finish but it still shot worse than any barrel I've ever used before, on any gun.

I think the bore size is very large, and on mine it is inconsistent down the length of the centre piece!
