Hi All

I was thinking about barrel length.
Do you realy think that there is a diference between a 12 inch barrel and a 16" one?
I Know that with a long barrel (16") you can better aim, and with a 12 " it is more confortable to run, hide and move quikly....but
my question is:

Is there a REALLY diference in PERFORMANCE with diferent barrel length???

What do you think?

Pd: Anyone that has shot with diferent barrel length can explain us?

there really isnt much of a difference.....i myself own a 2000 free flow with a 10 inch boomstick and i also have a 14 inch boomstick.....but for your question, id say the 12 inch is better, because its smaller, so you dont have to stick your gun waaaaaaay out of your bunker......but probably the best size for a barrel is a 14 inch.....16 is just too long and doesnt do a thing, and 12 inch still gets you some really good distance.......
good luck d00d

Shouldnt make any difference - the gas used by the gun is set by the gun and is the same for every shot.

This is an assumption but you usually set you FPS higher with a longer barrel (because range is lost by the ball being slowed down by the barrel for longer) so that you can get the same range as of that with a smaller barrel.

Gas efficiency.

you set your fps higher hance you are using more gas.

longer barrels are less gas efficient

the most important thing about the barrel is the bore size so length comes down to personal choice within reason. i use a 14". its small enough for a front player and (with good paint fit) is accurate enough.

Think

Like poeple said, you have a longer barrel if you play at the back. Also they said that you use more gas. there is a problem here cos dont back players shoot more paint..........

Personaly i say it depends what gun you use. some guns are very acurate as they are, cockers for example.

but id say 12" cos thats what i use and it shoots sweet
