To those who've not sent off to reclaim their bank charges I can totally recommend doing it.... I tried to claim back £3000 from Barclays and they've just paid me £2300 as a 'goodwill gesture'. All I had to do was ask for my statements, add up what they'd charged then write asking for it back.
Nothing else, no arguments no phone calls. Nothing. I could have pushed for the lot, but hell, I did go overdrawn and it's not like I didn't know it would happen. All in all it's taken seven weeks from the first letter.
SO DO IT if you've got any charges. (Mine were big but mainly from my degree and teacher training).
And it's paintball related, 'cos that's what I'm spending it on
If you've been charged you can get it back. If you've been charged recently (within six months) just phone them and tell them to give it back.... unbelievable, but most of the time they'll just do it.
Proforma letters on this site..... just add your account number, name and address, it's that easy.
