ball movment in the breach

ok today i was re-lubing the bolt in my ion because i hav'nt used it in a fair while.
but when i put it all back together i randomly put one ball in the breach i noticed the ball moved forwards and backwards but not enough either way to not be detected by the eyes.
i have never noticed this before but is it normal??

does it in my shocker, it moves up until the detents which then stop it rolling out of the barrel.

I wouldnt worry about it unless it starts chopping when you play.

umm not too sure about an ion but i just checked and it happens a bit with my PMR, so i think it might be normal, unless we're cursed

happens in most guns, Timmy's and marqs have an adjustable bolt to move back and forward. you will some time get breaks in the breach,this can be caused bolt smashing in to the ball.

thats it, it rolles upto the detents when tillted forwards and rolles back when tillted backwards.
but im worried if its rolles back to much it will cause chopping and i cant test it until this sunday at training.
and about how much either way does it role in your gun??
in my ion it rolles about just under 1/2cm each way.


and odd question but can the bolt possition be adjusted on an ion?

if you havnt noticed it chopping before then it wont now. The detents are where they are for a reason.

if the detents are worn, then it can happen more so.

...i once had it soo bad that it would roll infront of the eyes and then the gun wouldn't fire

Dry firing will screw your detents quicker too, as will reballs.

and how would i be able to tell if the detents are worn out?
they feel fine and it stops the ball rolling out, and takes a little force to push the ball through them.
so im guessing they are fine.
