After having Been peppered i have found that some of my gear is badly stained. Are there any tricks for getting them out as it was new gear and so am pretty much gutted, or shall I write it all off

Thanks

write it off as in bin it all? i hope not :p

get some vanish stain remover or equivelant, asda has some of its own brand stain removing powder stuff that works well too. just throw it in the washing machine with that and your usual washing up liquid/powder and stick it on a high spin (think its 1300 i use) 40 degree wash, usually gets gear out looking good. i know manufacturers tell u to only handwash stuff but thats just playing it safe, i've never had bother washing trousers, tops, packs or any other pb gear in a washing machine.

Thanks buddy. I did wash it on 30 degrees because of the old 'hand wash only' thing but has had little effect. My next stop would have been vanish (other brands available) but was hoping there was some kind of heavy duty stuff that was a trade secret. I'm just concerned that the paint has pretty much dyed the fabric.

I would not of chucked the trousers away mate but the top is well and truly covered in the stuff. God knows what crap they put in those paintballs, some kind of toxic waste I think

well unfortunately there's no trade secret i know of haha, but the stain removers seem to work quite well. but i think with white coloured parts of the tops it will always be a bit duller. if it still doesnt come out after that try just soaking the stuff in a basin of hot water with a bit more concentrated stain remover then try it in the washing machine. if it still doesnt come out after that don't know how much hope there is lol.

this was all on the advice of my good old mum when i first started paintballing so i'd imagine you could consider it a trustworthy source!

Dishwasher powder? Like finish? Ok mate I will try this one today, thanks.
Why is it that most paint comes straight out but some stains like a good 'un? I thought all fills where water soluble? As Liam said I could understand if I was wearing White but it's brown and dark green. Never mind

True, true. Tbh I have been doing quite well of late but had a rush of blood and went on a mad one. Needless to say it didn't pan out very well! Would like to say I won't do it again but in the same situation I know I will! Therefore I will probaly stay a paintball minion and not reach god status. But hey, all gods need minions

Got a white Eclipse top which gets stained horribly each time I play.

Vanish does what it does in the adverts. Comes out the machine on a 30 wash looking brand new.
