Hi, i know this is maybe a very dumb question, but what does 3+2 or 4+3 actually mean when talking about backpacks/battlepacks?

I'm kinda guessin with a 3+2 that it holds 3 pots and you can fit another 2 inbetween?

Thanks

Basically you got it right, 3+2 would be "3" main pouches with velcro closing flaps to keep them nice and secure but if you needed a little extra then you would have another "2" elasticated hoops that will take pots externally, hence the 3+2 etc etc.
My personal preferance is to have all my pots in pouches where i know that they are safe and more importantly they will be there when i need them, so i run a 5+4 but only usually carry 5x160 ball pots + a hopper gives me 1000 per game, if i had a heavy game or was playing "back position" then i have the capability of carrying 1640 balls.
The best advice if your buying a pack is to work out where your playing?, what you use in an average game? and then add a couple of pots for the "just in case factor". The last thing you want to happen is have seven players bearing down on you and suddenly find you out of paint.............unless you carry a white flag on the field;)

with or without paint, I def will not be carrying a white flag!

Maybe best going for a 5+4, save me havin to buy another later on.

Thanks again :D
It's really about preference buddy and not always about the amount of pots you want to hold. Some of the combinations aren't suitable for certain individuals arms and certain pots can't be reached.

A popular one is a 4+3+2, but if you buy a decent pack many of them can have X-Loops added to them to increace capacity. The NXe ones are popular at the moment, and I love my C5 pack another cracking pack in my eyes.

You'll find the back players at pro level will carry a lot more paint than i would ever consider carrying.
Nickyboy is right about it being personal preference, if you go to watch a tournament and look at the different way players carry there pots, the combinations are staggering in a wierd and wonderful way.
My preference with my 5+4 is to have the pots in a single layer close to my body, that way i know i don't have to worry about my pack being exposed to angled shots when my body is tight to a barricade.
If you consider that in Nickyboys case he is stacking up three levels of pots then his side profile just got "X" amount larger making for an easier target across the field when he's not looking my way.
But as he says it's personal choice and also depends where you play, consider also how you unload the pack, i'm using my gun normally right handed so i unpack with my left, the first three packs are easy to reach but then i have to stop firing to reach 4 & 5, maybe if i stacked the packs then it'd be easier for me to reach 4&5 ?
(strange the way i always need these two when i'm cowering from a hailstorm of shots)? :p

i have a hanger 18 4+3 pack, and i have to admit, with just 4 in it, its fine, when i put 7 in it it can be a little cumbersome, also, although i havent lost any yet, im not 100% happy about carrying the extra pots in the elastic loops.

why do you need 7 balls for a suicide shot so you can walk?
Surely even a blindman couldn't miss himself 6 times:D

To be honest m8 i dont think your going to need 9 pots with you on the field but then again its up to you. i just take 2 pots per game which means your not as tempted to just to open fire on a bunker which has nobody behind it! it also means that your gona save yourself a hell of a lot of money!:D But...... what would i know!
