I want to get a second air system for my back up marker... But i thought why not just get a second reg instead of a whole system to save on the money.

So would i be able to unscrew the bottle from my angel air (std AIR bottle) and then on to a Max Flo or AGD Flatline...?

Are the threads the same?

Would i need to Loc tight the bottle onto these regs (or something like that)? Coz the AIR is not loc tighted on.

Also what would be the better system and why for a matrix?

I dunno about the threads being the same but why go down that route, just get another AIR reg as WDP do now sell them seperate, or buy two Angel mini drops and then you can swap the whole thing or cheaper still get an NW Paintball 2 markers 1 airtank quick release block.

Depends on the reg - no need for loctite on an Angel Air, but I'd definitely use a dab of low strength thread locker on screw-in regs, as there's always the chance that when removing the system from your asa you'll end up unscrewing the bottle by accident.

has this happened to you?

because th amount of force pushing the threads against the reg is considerably more than any torque you could produce! unless you are superman of course! if you are i apologise...please don't burn down my house;) unless the pressure in the bottle is low you won't be able to unscrew the bottle from the reg...

I have tried to change bottles on a a.i.r. and max flow before. They were different threads, so no joy.

Things might have changed now though.

Another thing to bear in mind. You can now get "cheap" 3k air system's with a small bottle. aproxx £130 ish. If you got a spare gun, you should have a spare air system as well!

just buy a cheap 3k preset, only about £80 and you can get them in the UK now!
