Hi all.
I'm looking at getting back in to paintball after a 10 year holiday .
What are the main things that I need to know ie rule changes bps velocity etc.
Back then I was a bit of a gun whore lol so was just wondering what you guys would recommend as a marker hopper and air set up.
Thanks in advance

Not much has changed

BPS has gone up and down. For tournaments check the rule set (maybe 10.5bps), elsewhere it may or may not be specified
Velocity in tournaments is 300fps, and likely to be 280fps at walkons/big games (but can vary a little depending on their rules)

A lot of guns & hoppers have come and gone, but with BPS capped there isn’t a lot of true change.
If it worked 10 years ago and you can adjust & lock down the settings then it will run in a tournament

The only major change equipment wise is that you can now get fibre bottles that have an unlimited life span, they still need testing every 5 years but don't need to be scrapped after 15 years, these bottles will have an UNISO 11119 certification. I've only seen First strike bottles openly advertising this fact but i suspect there are other brands out there with the same specification.
