This is a cease and desist order

Whats all that about then?

Re-Thanks to Shockwave Am

Personaly I dont think there is anything wrong in thanking a site/team for help.
And it was put in the correct category. An ANNOUNCEMENT of thanks, the CONTACT was the team and the QUERY is when is the next one. :p

I think the mods are looking to clamp down on subtle advertising and attention getting tactics. You may have been sincere, but you could have appeared to be simply promoting someone.

I'm with the cow-man.

These kind of posts only have (an already limited) value to the people involved, meaning it only applies to about 10-20 people, which would be worthwhile if anything constructive was discussed, like sharing training tips with the rest of the world. All it is now is just a backslapping session, which is what pubs were invented for.

How would you feel if I started chitchatting about what I had at Mickey Dee's after the training session with my mates?

Ah Ha

So now Ive got two of you on my case.

I know what you are trying to achieve on the boards but what harm could a little back slapping do. Dont you think that it is a little bit petty to worry about a thank you message. Next you wont be able to list sponsors etc.

Problem is that the backslapping actually takes up a huge amount of space.

There's a perfectly good place to list your sponsors, it's called the signature. But when I see people naming their sponsors in their sigs, and then again in a post, it gets a bit over the top, n'est pas?

It wasn't meant at you personally by the way, just in general.

if you're so concerned about space why not just delete any pages that are over a certain age? say 6 months or summat......
