Azodin Kaos blending my paint

Hi all,

Went to get my kaos pump out for a day of play, chronod to 260-270 and it literally became a blender. Firstly we thought it might be the paint but that was not the case as every other gun was shooting just fine. Secondly we thought it may be the rotor loader (an overkill I know) so we tried a gravity fed and feeding the paint in one at a time but still the gun liquidated my paint with a barrel break every time.

The gun is set up as normal out of the box with no reg added or anything added just straight out of the box. Has anyone had this problem and if so, how did you resolve it??

Many Thanks
Lewis

are you using the stock barrel, if so has the o-ring that forms the ball retention system broke?

did the paint break during a pump or after pulling the trigger?
what paint did you use?
was it cold that day?

The paint broke upon firing the gun. The paint was a fresh batch of sterling paint and it was a cold day yes. But no one else had the problems i was having. I ended up firing Gee Tee's trilogy pump all day with 0 breaks.

try pumping a ball in with the air off, then unscrew the barrel and assess the ball for damage - if its damaged maybe check the bolt face to see if there's something sharp suck on it or perhaps a bit of shell stuck down the side of the bolt stopping it going all the way back (leading to pinching the ball).

If the ball isn't damaged by pumping it in then try turning the velocity down then creeping it up a bit at a time, if it starts bursting them again at 260 /270 then perhaps it is something to do with the shape of the air passage on the bolt (I've not seen one so I'm only guessing) and the paint being brittle because of the temp.

If you still get nowhere ask on MCB - someone over there will know.

Just to add my two cents

L-Jays Azodin was really blasting the air out on each shot, even though velocity was only in the 260 fps range. I'm sure this aggressive blast of air on the ball was the culprit - literally smashing the shell to bits in the barrel. It also sounded like a friggin shotgun compared to my cocker.

I know a lot of guys retro fit the Kaos pumps with an inline. Something like a CP or Hyper 2 regulator in place of the gas through. Would this make a difference or fix the problem?

I've heard people suggest a reg as a good idea over on MCB, I suppose it could bring the blast of air down - longer blast at lower pressure but I've not heard of people having this problem before.
