axe to mini case

bit of a random one, but has anybody tried fitting an axe into the old mini hard case?
the idea is to simply carry the supporting foam over from the axe case into the mini case and trim where necessary.
do you think the case will be large enough?

I just cut the mini case foam with a stanley to fit any marker, my demon, axe, mini etc. also cut the underneath foam so its big enough to home two 14'' barrels. X
