ok ive spotted an avatar on another site that i want to use, how in hell do i copy it over?

ive tried saving it but it will only seem to let me save as a bitmap and it needs to be a gif to work as an avatar.

reading the properties of the avatar on the other site it says its a gif but why the hell wont it work!

long way to do it but i managed to convert a paint image to work by sending it to myself in an e-mail, then saving it as a jpeg/ or summit. then uploading the saved image. don't ask me how that works i know nothing about computers and feel that this was luck more than anything. but it seems to work.

Save the file as the bitmap then when you open it in whatever program other than Paint choose save as..... whatever you want, works everytime ;)...ah just looked at the pic...didn't realise it was an animated gif, you should have said...ok little harder then...drawing a blank for the moment :(

link?

The link I followed wasn't animated... :(

I did a search on google for an animated gif editor. There should be a free one around somewhere that helps you out.

Click here for the Google search

Even if you start with the gif you've got, you should be able to animate it without too much artistic effort... :D :D

Hope this helps.
