If you're in doubt I'd say strip it and clean it, if you don't fancy the task take it to your local airsmith, am sure it won't cost much. However if you're planning on keeping the cocker and are using air I highly reccomend the AKA sindwinder reg, extremely consistant!!!

what does little messed mean? whats it doing wrong, + whih reg are tou talk8in about, the inline reg ) one between bottle and gun) or sledgehammer ( one on the from with ram and 3-way)

oh, and using co2 on a cocker is totaly fine, that is unless the previous owner was using liquid co2 all the time and froze the seals down alot, but that doesnt usualy happen.

TechShock, a full reg rebuild can cost about 50 to 100 dollars, it depends on how long the techs take to find out whats wrong with it. My personal advice is to replace the reg. Like the guys said an AKA Sidewinder reg is great so is a Palmer Stabilizer, both run about 100 dollars. Good luck with your problems, and get that cocker fixed, you might get the gun a bad name with that bad of consistancy. LOL
