Okay, I've got myself an autococker that I decided to upgrade with some extra holiday cash. I bought a Shocktech front end and a new Dye .45 double hinge trigger frame.

As we all know, the Shocktech 3-way works differently than most, and the hoses have to be switched around. No problem. The trouble starts with my frame: while a stock autococker pushes the rod through the 3-way when you pull the trigger, this frame pulls the rod back. Apparently all you have to do is switch the hoses and it'll work fine.

So I've got a front end that already has the hoses switched, and a trigger frame that wants them switched back to normal? When I tried, the hoses on the front end wont even reach to where they'd need to be.

Am I doing this right? How else should I get a shocktech front end and a Dye frame to work together?

Not as far as I know it doesn't, certainly didn't on mine!

The hoses only have to be reversed if you're using a hinge frame.

So by the sound of things you've reversed the reversal so AFAICT the hoses are on the wrong way around for a hinge, but the right way around for a slide. Swap them around again and all should be well.

I'm assuming that you're reffering to the Bomb 3/4 way, Archer. in which case yes, for a slide trigger, the hoses need to be reversed.

So yes, when you hook up a blade frame, you will need to reverse the reversal (effectively making the hoses back to the "normal" way).

If your hoses wont reach, then what you need to do is get in touch with your local paintball store and pick up a short length of front end hose (it's always handy to have around anyways - having your front end hoses go in the middle of the day when you have no spare around is a pain!).

hope this helps
