I have a 2001 Works Autococker. I have been having problems with my pressure dropping off and being really irregular. I have also been having accuracy issues. I recently purchased a Freak barrel so I know that isn't the problem. My shots are hooking really bad at about the fifty. Any advice on what might be wrong would be really helpful. Thanks!

sounds like your breaking paint in your barrel ie barrel insert to small, the resedue in the barrel will cling to the following balls making them hook;) .rule of thumb is to blow test 5 or so balls through the insert,if they roll through it's to loose,if you turn funny colours trying to blow them through it's to tight.a gentle push is all they need.
also when were the regs last cleaned, they could be sticking and causing shoot down:)

Yeah...what Le-Pig said...also...Check that your Freak Insert is round the right way....they have a pronounced chamfer on one end, which helps guide the ball in...its teh correct way round...if you can line up the bore size written on the insert...in teh little window in the Back of the barrel...

Is your Cocker E-Bladed or similar?

Your input preassure from the main tank, should be around 600 PSI....and 325 from the vert reg into the gun.

Thanks A Bunch

That sounds like the problem. I usually shoot Blaze out of my gun, and I havn't been able to get any from my local field the last couple times I have gone out. Any idea what insert I should start out for testing. Also, thanks a bunch for the help. I am infact breaking a lot of paint. Some of that is me not pulling the trigger smooth enough. I need some more practice. Thanks again.

Kevin

P.S. My cocker is not ebladed as of yet. I was thinking that because I recently started playing that having a gun that shot that much paint might have been a little too much for me to handle right off of the bat. Is this a good assumption?

Well...it's true that an E Frame will help u shoot much faster...but...because of their nature...you can set it up, to have a Max ROF of whatever you like...if you have no eyes fitted, and set it to Factory Fast...thats only 10.5 Bps, so assuming you have a loader that can feed above that, say a Revy or Eggy would be better, you wont chop due to shooting too fast, and you cant short stroke an E blade (short stroking is, when you dont pull the trigger far enough)...that way, you can limit your gun, to how much paint it will shoot, in any given moment.
That said...dpending on what area of the field you play, determins how much paint you need to be able to shoot...as a Backplayer, you wont last long with 8 or so Bps...wheras..as a front player...that will be fine to be getting on with..as you dont tend to use paint to keep people in, more for fast snap shots etc...or mugging runs, where volume of paint isnt neccesary...also, if your at the front, hanging out shooting 18bps strings..chances are...you wont be there for long!!
Any questions..feel free to ask.

Hello Skeetmaster,

What settings will you recommend for a higher bps?

I've just installed my new E2 but haven't played much with the settings except a little with the bounce filters.

Thanks

Have you sweetspotted your reg and what fps are you shooting right now??
I think you're shooting too high of pressure from the reg and need to sweetspot the reg.
Good luck with it and hope it works out.

One of my friends had mentioned that so I had the guy at the shop look at it. He said it was averaging around 240psi. I am not sure about that though given the amount of variance I have been seeing in my shots.
