Australia stunned England in one of the biggest upsets in soccer history with a 3-1 win in London today.

The victory was Australia's first win over England and was set up in the first half against a near World Cup strength home team.

Tony Popovic silenced the Upton Park crowd when he flew above the pack to put Australia 1-0 up with a 17 minute header and a Harry Kewell solo special took the Socceroos 2-0 clear four minutes before halftime.

The team of novices which came on for England in the second half pulled a goal back when Francis Jeffers headed in a Jermaine Jenas cross in the 69th minute.

I got an even better one wich happened with my boss.


He was applying for a VISA at the OZ Embasy.
The officer asked some questions he answered them everything sounded fine. Then the officer asked if he had criminal record in his past or served time in prison. My boss answered: "Why? I tought its not a requirement anymore!"

Needless to say he stood home and I've gone to OZ

last time england played austrailia in the old rugby it was an england win.

i haven quite decided what was worse losen 3-1 at home to the aussies or drawin 2-2 at St.Marys with Macedonia

Anyway, if Australia is so good, why are you staffing all of our pubs? Is back packing some sort of National service, like a covert invasion.

Allthough the snakes will have a go ya just jump on them. The Funnel web Spiders like hidin in ya sox or jox so th@ could screw u abit. then there is the Sharks & Crocks but u learn 2 swim fast.

Ahhh, but we have nothing as funny as the echidna or the pandemelon or the platypus....... actually, it's like all of the worlds gods got together after their creation myth, threw all the spare bits together and......... voila..... Australia's fauna.

What have you got that we haven't got? except the beaches, weather, surfing, sports stars, cold beer......... for christs sake, in England, the only thing we don't manage to keep cold is the damn beer, why???????
