Hi,

I'm Tom, the social secretary from the York Uni Paintball Soc. I think you knew Mark (Stupid Troopers) from last year and have spoken to Sam (this years president). Anyway, how many people have you got that want to play tournies? I think it might be good if neither of us can get a whole team together if we join forces to go to a few tournies. I havent discussed this with our lot but I can't see they would complain.

Hi Tom,

Yes I spoke to Sam a while ago. Um yeah sounds like a great idea, do you guys ahve transport, coz thats often a big problem for us. Well, I think this year we should be ok for 5 man, 7 man is a different matter though, so thanks. Could I have your e-mail address (mine is richardkirke@hotmail.com, or the society is Paintball.Society@Dur.ac.uk).

Are you going to be playing any/all of the series 2002? Are you playing the Zap Am? Particularly the Zap we may well need one or two extras so we aren't all playing all the time.

If you are ever short of a player we may well be able to sort you out somebody. Training is a different matter, if you guys are up for it then a training day would be great for both of us (one of our guys has some really good training ideas, so if you're interested we'll let you know whats going on.

Isn't this weekend the first leg of the 2002 series at Elsham. Its the Ken Costin memorial event, so therefore its gonna be a freindly fund raising event, with the uual teams and a raffle at the end. Look at the post about three down from here aptly titled Ken Costin Memorial event - update!!! Us the fish, clowns and the carrots are all playing, why are you guys not???

As for the tourneys, we are desparatly trying to sort out a team for the Birmingham indoor in February, its just a case of 'persuading' people that they really do want to buy their own markers. But hopefully it will all work out ok and we'll be there.

As for training, I think it's an excellent idea to do a joint training day/weekend, since I can never seem to make a decent roach. Um, anyway, it would be a good idea.
