Right just a quick Q, when attaching HP fittings can I just use Loctite, or do I need to use PTFE tape aswell?

Also I'm using Red Loctite, forget if its the strong one....will it be alright?

I think red loctite is SUPER strong. I can't stand when people use it to fit fittings. Makes them an ARSE to take off... Just pop down to halford and get some nutlock... Seals perfectly and is easy to take the fitting off when required...

Use locktite, DONT use ptfe it will get inside your reg.

If they are Tom Allens fittings (your mad if they arent) then only use a tiny bit of locktite.

If they are the normal dangerous fittings use pletny of locktite to seal the threads.

Im not sure about the colour but if you are using Tom Allens fittings it will be fine.

They are Toms fittings and they look well nice.
I'll only use a small amount of the Red loctite then, don't think I'm ever going to need to take the fittings off so no worries on that front :)

I'd follow Munkeh's advice - red loctite is ninja-strength and if you ever want to get the fitting off again it'll need a blow torch and a BIG spanner.

Go for blue loctite or the Halfords nut lock.

Toms fittings have a bigger nut to screw them in with, so you can use a bigger spanner to remove them.

The attachment swivels in relation to the nut so I cant think of any time when you would need to remove the nut.

Also they come with a sealing o-ring so as long as you use a tiny drop just to stop it working loose it wouldnt be hard to remove.

DO NOT USE RED LOCTITE !! is that clear enough?

Blue is what you need to use NOT RED, you will either break the fitting or scratch whatever it is screwed into when you try and remove it, you need heat and elbow grease to remove anything that is attached with RED loctite.

A bottle of Blue loctite or as said above thread lock from Halofords is a couple of pounds only so good luck with the low strength green, did I say you need blue, I think I did
