I think this is a fantastic idea as we have played at BW in the winter months and have come back 2 stone heavier covered in mud :) with astroturf being laid it means teams can train week in week out and not worry about there wifes kicking them out for brining in half a tonne of mud with them after a days balling.

Looks good yorkie ! cant wait to play on it ! well done to all those involved

just out of interest :D hows the turf staying there? looks likes it layed on top, surely if you slide over a seam it will roll with you ? if that makes sense?

Plus loving that someone has took the step to making there site one of the best :D ill have to come visit soon :D

yes the turf has been laid loose but its over lapped from the center out so when sliding you slide off one bit onto the other bit to prevent turf rolling with you, if it does move we will look to peg it some way, try it and give us your feed back maybe we can make it better
thanks

Best way to do it is using a Damp Proof Course 600mm x 30m roll for under each joint and silicon. Peel back both seems of astro and lay the damp course down the middle of each roll. Then silicon down the damp course in a wavy motion (you know what I mean) so you'll be getting silicon on the underside of both rolls of astro when laid back down. This should be enough to hold it firm and will give you seamless joints. Just make sure you set the first roll up perfectly square and you should be fine.
