"Last nite a deal was struck between the Oakland Assassins and Infamous to merge and form a super X-Ball Team to compete for the 2006 NXL Series.
As the token coach, pod ***** and tool bearer, I welcome and look forward to having the teammates like Travis, LB, Brandon, Chris, my counterpart, Martin, Gator, Possey and etc.
The next season is looking up!"

Written by Terry, one of Bobs techs a couple a days before christmas. Thats last month?

Will Bob be involved in this new NXL squad or is it just a merge of players? Because i thought Bob had totally quit the NXL?
See first response Bob gives in PGI 201 interview. If NXL becomes 15/16 team Open with prize money he'll play that. Looks like somebody isn't reading their PGI, Potter.:p

Btw, Potter, if the inspiration for your gamertag isn't Neal Stephenson's Necronomicon it ought to be. :)

1. I read it but as a gentleman in the twilight of his life you may understand that my memory isn't what it used to be. :p

2. The Necronomicon thing comes from a LAN game of Quake circa 1996 and i needed to think of a decent moody screen name. I had recently rewatched the Evil Dead movies (big fan) and thought the shared Lovecraftian influences between the two was kinda convienient. Also H.R. Gieger has a rather cooky art book which shares the name of the fictional arabic tome.... I've never really read any Neal Stephenson but I think I may...

1--is that what passes for humor with the short-pants crowd? My mind is like a steel trap--rusted shut--but steel nonetheless.

2--okay, at least you aren't confessing to being a Dungeons & Dragons type and anyone who appreciates the Evil Dead can't be all bad. You might want to go gently with Stephenson--something like Snow Crash first as Necronomicon is 1000+ pages, brilliant but long and densely crafted. Of course, if you have half the wits :) you appear to it shouldn't be a problem.
