Okay just got a duckbill asa, two problems:

1. It has 3 screwholes, two are the correct distance apart to fit on the gripframe of an 05 speed, or any other 90* or 45 framed angel/gun for that matter.

The problem starts when you try out it on the gun, the roundness of the rear or the spaceframe means it wont tighten up as the back of the duckbill where its rounded up into the thin bar which attaches to the frame meet the gripframe so its two non-flat surfaces trying to tighten up and it aint happening.

Could i cut some metal off or mill it or something to make it work, or would it be okay to drill another hole in the duckbill to make it further back and fit?

2. There is no pin to make air come out the bottle, can i bodge sumthing or what? anyone any ideas other than trying to find a pin?

would i be able to take an asa of another gun and take the pin out of that, i tried with one from a unimount but its not just a pin but a big mettal thing too.

Help me out pls guys!

I think all the old style donkeys had the pin machined..so its integral..or is there somwhere for it to go?
I assume your using air...if not...get a on/off valve in your C02 tank.

You could suss out how long it need to be...drill a hole in the ally...then use either a cut down bit of drill or something else...nail maybe...pushed ina nad glued with araldita or something....how ab out that steel putty stuff...roll a sausage, stick that in the hole you have drilled...form into suitable pin shape...bobs your heath robinson uncle.

You can buy steel pins (like trigger hinge pins) from most hardware stores. You could do that, drill a hole, and glue the pin in.

As for the fit on the bottom of the grip, you could use a pair of washers (back to the hardware store) as spacers, dropping the "bill" down a touch, and allowing the curve to fit.

OR you could do the sensible thing, and throw that duck bill at the person who sold it to you as hard as possible, then go somewhere else and buy another, or better yet, a Unimount or Eclipse rail.

yeah cant put washers in cos id need bout5 lol and wud make it proper tall, im not sure if its ment for co2, as they have on/off valves so wouldnt need the pin? i may try glue a pin in the hole but how long ?it might move when pressure is on it and would need to be lined up right etc, man this sh&t sucks!

:(:(:(

Liam that pin has to be exactly the right length.

Too long and you will open the valve before its on properly, too short and you will eat orings for breakfast!!!

I might have one actually for trade...

We are using it for a reg tester so we dont need the pin, we could trade it for yours.

I dont know if its what you want though, the bottle would be angled down about 5 degrees.

Heres what I do with my 45 bottle, I really like it...
