I don't think it would be in the interests of the MS to piss-off the industry anymore!!...But then again they don't often consider that perspective anyway..:D

As for PA....who knows, next they'll ban paintballs....

Is there any truth in the rumour that these masks are gonna be banned in these leagues:eek: cos they supposedly promote more bouncers ffs get really !!!

Im sure all jt owners will be happy about this if it is true especially if your sponsored by jt aswell
Hmmm, somhow I very much doubt this.

Anyone want to bet me a tenner? ;)

The PA wont be banning these. At the managers conference a few weeks ago , they mentioned these by name , not because of bounce , but because of the chin straps. If you cut the chin strap off , you cant wear them , because they are then "modified" , you dont have to do the strap up tho' , you just cant cut it off.

The soft ear peices and flexi bottoms of the face plate have been around for ages. They are no where near as soft/flexible as the old JT Ize goggles , and they are not banned.

Obviously cant speak for the MS though.

I've not closely inspected the chin-strap on the flex-7s, but are they just attached with the screw that holds the faceplate to the hard/large soft ear armour?

What's to stop you removing the strap, and claiming it's an old faceplate? (or will the manufacture date of the faceplate start being checked?)

Incidentally, looking over last years PA rules (the 2005 rules aren't up yet) I noticed the following:
Any worn or carried equipment should not be of a material or design or shrouded in any material that would give a player an unfair advantage by decreasing the chance of a ball bursting should it impact on the area covered by that equipment or by impacting on the equipment itself.
I know that there is probably some B$ line about the flex faceplates of flex-7s and profilers being there so that if you faceplant the floor they deform instead of coming off, but that's pure bull. They're there to try and get bouncers.
