Anyone got plans for milling an Impulse?

Ok guys, more sage wisdom wanted. No not the kind that goes up a chickens bum!

Does anyone have some plans for milling an impulse?

Found someone who can do milling, just need to find some nice plans.

Just check out all the custom designs (rats,nastys,FF,Strange etc) see which one look very nice and use that! Cant go wrong!

Don't want to sound lame, but doesn't my mate with the milling machine need some specs re depth of cut etc?

Ok, well i reckon if u gave him a picture of it he could prolly follow it! Of course i dont know who it is... but another alternative is to post on www.pbnation.com as loads of ppl there have custom impys!

Yup, milling machine matey will need to know where "NOT" to cut. unless you want the first side venting impulse

If your there when he does it then you should just be able to tell him what you want doing, I mean you can see how thick the walls ect are on the impy so as long as long as he dosn't go to deep you will be fine.

By the way if he is going to use a CNC machine then yes you will need lots of measurements and data to be inputed into the machine but you should be fine if its a manual mill.

What get them to mill it? Or to give the the schematics to say the Strange Impy cos u cant afford to buy one!

They'd probably charge a bomb, but if you asked them for the specs, like inner wall size and stuff. You could get anyone with a C&C machine (or whatever they use) to mill the design you want.

get in touch with SP ask them for a drawing either in CAD or PROE, these can easily be translated into C++ or CNC trans package. Alternate to this pass on your stripped down body to a company that machines or produces alot of piece parts. Asking them nicely, do you have a CMM plotter? and could you measure something for you?

You will then have an exact 3D representation of your body from which any machinist worth his salt, should be able to mill in your design. Offer to help also, this might help whoever understand what you want to achieve.
