As the subject says!

I've got a couple of original Halos & I'm having problems with both on hot, sunny days. One seems to shut itself down and then is a absolute swine to switch back on - it's a real pain to end up spending the entire game hand feeding an IR3 or just acting as a pair of eyes for the rest of the team! The other hopper isn't quite so bad and instead just decides not to feed for a second or two every now and then.

I'm I just cursed or is there a design problem? Perhaps the black body is just soaking up too much heat and causing the electronics to malfunction.

I'm beginning to despair of ever finding a decent fast hopper! My Halos are giving me trouble, my revos break apart (even my polycarbonate one) and my ricochet was one of the worst bits of kit I've ever bought!

PS. I saw there was another Halo thread, but I didn't want to hijack it with my whinge! :)

No Probs

I was at Ancaster yesterday (14th July) - it was seriously hot and I had no problems at all with mine (Smart Parts version) so I don't think it is a design flaw. Sounds like you've got a connection problem to me.

Seriously hot is an understatement! It was nice weather to ball in though

The connections appear to be fine, unless it's a circuit board problem which I can't see! I'm beginning to suspect it really is a curse: somebody, somewhere just doesn't want me shooting fast. :(

I'm tempted to get a Halo B & trash these 2 (well, give them to a teammate or 2), but it's the idea of 'wasting' so much £$€!

No need to give them away just send them back to Odyssey for a HALO B ungrade $30 or $50 and you can get a coloured shell!

HALO Probs??

Send them in with a printout of this posting and I will upgrade them for you to HALO-Bs for $20 ea. This will include shipping back to you and lets us get a look at them. Make sure you include all of your shipping and contact info. This is a strange symptom that I havn't heard of. We will get you taken care of.
