Despite all their gob the Sunderland crowd seem to have gone a bit quiet. No doubt they've been cowed by the fact that Newcastle are playing.
Personally I'm kind of surprised at the number of teams that seem to be passing up a chance to market themselves and look for sponsorship opportunities. As I've said previously there's nothing wrong with an existing team re-naming themselves or a team fieliding players from a different part of the country. After all football teams do it.
Someone also asked the question is this a stand alone or a series...this event is set to establish a national league with the idea being to get it acknowledged by local media and hopefully national media once established. The aim is to run a series commencing in 2004 at sites up & down the country. In order to do that we need to firrst of all establish a league table hence the self seeding format for this first event.
If you're interested in reprsenting your home town as opposed to a team under the name of the "Dead Sheep" (yes there really was a team called that) or something similar, then give Gillie a call. If there's not already a team forming in your area then start one.
