any good for a noob??

hey guys just started going to paintball regularly with some friends iv been looking at some packages that offer a tippmann 98 or a bt4 both run at about the same price £120 ish they come with mask hopper gas bottle but what id like to know is which is the better gun ie most reliable and upgradable thanks in advance guys

They are pretty much the same gun. As one was made by Tippmann the other by his brother Ben Tippmann now known as Battle Tested.

so either one is good? and do they sound ok at that price? they are both used

they cost around £100-110 new for just the marker so depends on what you are getting in the deal really?

and if you are gonna get one of the two get the BT4 its easier to take apart than the tippmann98 because the grip frame is a separate part unlike the 98 which is all in one .
plus the BT4 has A5 threads .

to be honest mate you should really get a decent mask before you get a gun as the chances of the mask being any good are slim.

and also save up a few more quid and get something like a GoG Envy for £150 its electronic and ALOT softer on paint than the BT and Tippmann98 ( you dont break paintballs in the gun when shooting)

hi and thanks for your advice im only going to be using it every other month so i only want something cheap gun wise couldn't justify paying 150 for one just for occasional use lol

keep an eye out on the forums For sale area and see if there is any going second hand ... you never know!
the same goes aswell if you want a BT4 you might aswell get second hand as they r indestuctable lol

have you got any thoughts on a mask?
id recommend the JT Flex
they dont fog up and they are pretty cheap

tbh i haven't looked into masks yet to much just want to see how much im looking at spending first but the bt4 package im looking at is a pre owned gun with new accessories for£120 from justpaintball

I'm guessing it'll be a CO2 bottle as well, so you will have to check at the site you play at to see if they run this.

Better if you could run air, a steelie 3k bottle isn't much as this will help if you upgrade to an electro in the future.
Many won't run with CO2 as it can freeze and ruin solenoids.

Worthwhile ringing Just up and see if they can 'tailor' a package to your needs

ive just checked that bundle mate and it £120 for ex site BT and Ex site accesories :s wouldnt wanna wear a ex rental mask myself
