hiya im looking for an angel tech who has the tool needed to open the front of my a.i.r so that i can convert it to run low pressure (on an impy) ....i could get one from wdp but they are £30 and i would rather avoid spending that much if poss.

does anyone have one they would loan me? if you posted it to me i would get it back in the post guarenteed next day delivery the same or the next day at the latest and would obviously pay any postage charges for sending it to me.

failing that, any one in manchester have one?

please! :)

Whilst we are on the Angel teching thing, i got sent a new trigger pivot rod from wdp as the previous one fell out - but when i stick it in any of the pivot holes the marker's blue light stays on constantly, meaning the trigger is pressed in. Any ideas??

Also whats they small grub screw for in the pivot rod hole?

Its not my angel by the way, (and im glad cause it now doesnt shoot more than 260fps) - im going to take it to Wrexham so you guys can sort it out, but just wondering if you have any ideas

:)

Jahlad:

You can use a pair of circ clip pliers or perhaps needlenose pliers instead of the Angel tool. You'll see a couple of holes in the front face of the dome. Degas your AIR & carefully insert the tips of the pliers in those holes and unscrew the end cap. Once the cap is off you will not need any Angel tools to do what you want - assuming that this is a follow-on from your other thread where you wish to adjust the pressure range of your AIR for your Impy - just follow the instructions in the manual on how to configure the spring pack.

Burb:

You'll need to adjust the trigger's rest point since it's on or past the firing point as default - the manual shows how to do it, but basically you need to turn the rear trigger adjustment screw (the one under the spring) anti-clockwise (ie. as if unscrewing the screw) until the trigger works properly again & you have the trigger pull you want. No idea why since this occured since itshouldn't have happened simply by replacing the pivot pin.

Since you mentioned the grub screw, I'm assuming that you've got an IR3, yes? The screw is intended to stop the pivot pin from falling out of the hole it is in, the pin is mean to only fit through the same side as the grub screw, but many/most/whatever IR3s I've seen will allow the pin to come out the other side - which is probably how you lost yours. Try moving the pivot pin (& grub screw) to one of the other two holes for a better fit, although you'll probably need to adjust the trigger after this.
