Hi guys/girls.

Just wanted to introduce myself (I will create another post with my questions later, after extensive use of the "search" box).

I am a Spanish guy, living in Milton Keynes for a year and a half, 30+ years old (I stopped accounting at 30 :D), that want to start in this amazing world of sending and receiving pain. Well. hope that sending more than receiving.

I love computers, all kind of gadgets, video games, good books and good movies. I also love photography and got a pretty decent gear, but I am terrible so do not ask me for my Flickr :notworthy:

I also love to compete with others, jokes, pranks, and laughs.

I move around on my beloved motorbike, that I brought here from Spain with me. It is an Honda CBR 600 from 2007 that right now got about 140.000 Km (about 87k miles) all made by me. I do not have car driving license.
I ride motorcycles since I was 14 or so. And before this, as pillion :)
I used to do track days with my bike in Spain.

You will notice soon that I like to ask things, that I love specs and to compare things, and that I am very curious.

I think that's more than enough for an introduction. If someone want to know anything else, just ask :)

Oh I almost forgot!

About Paintball. I only plated 1 time, some years ago, in Spain, and I performed pretty well to be honest. Was an all day woods paintball event with different games. I didn't received a single hit and eliminated a lot! (Yeah I love to shot from the sides:).
Also played last year a laser game, in a Paintball site. Not as interesting, as you don't see the balls flying and you don't feel the impacts.

And my expectations. I want to start playing on a regular basis. I do not know anyone that plays right now.
I will love to join some local team, that used to train together, and for me it is important if they participate or plan to participate in tournaments. As I said I love to compete, and even for my age I can run, jump, aim and shot pretty well.

If you finished reading all this wall of text, congratulations, you've earned a pint the day we meet!

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for a great and warm welcome :D

About the length of the introduction, well, I'm on the net since the dinosaurs era (back with 14.400bps) and I always hate people cheap in words!

This also means that I've already "solved" most of my doubts hehehe.

I will make another thread commenting the gears I want to get, and I will pay a visit to the bikes thread too!

Again, thanks a lot!

Ballantin! I've just replied to your other thread before seeing thing one.

You're from Milton Keynes! I'm from Northamptonshire, so the offer still stands if you want to come and have a look at some of my kit. I've got the Axe PDD and an Ego SL74 you can have a feel of. Got the same i4's you're interested in too.

But most importantly, you said you wanted to join a team well have a look at our website:

www.northants-giants.co.uk

We're a team built for new players who don't have anyone to play with / want to join a team. We have no selection criteria and as long as people are reasonable anyone is welcome to join. Sign up to our forums on there and say hello!

Cheers.

Hello,

welcome to the forums! And great intro!

We train @ Bricketwood and have open training days, which you can find on our Facebook page (normally announced). We are happy to help out players that are just starting or that are trying to get back into the sport. So feel free to drop me a message here or head over to our Facebook page - alternatively we have a website for more info as well.

All the best in your search for a "paintball home" - everyone in the community is just very open, friendly and AWESOME, so enjoy your time here and on the field! :)
