i have a ir3 fly mate and it rocks, but there are loads of other great markers to choose from. such as:

Angel
Impulse
Timmy
Matrix
Bushmaster
E Cocker
E MAG

etc etc

If you want an electro then go for one of the above if not get a nice cocker or mag.
You should maybe try and have a go with as many different markers as possible before buying, but the great thing abouyt the angels is that they are pretty much ready to rock straight out of the box (no real upgrades needed exept barrel)

Angels are like any other blowback except that a computer chip controls the firing of the marker via a soleniod valve. You are able to achieve very high rates of fire because of the adjustable trigger (as short as 1/4 mm), and the fact that all you have to do is activate a microswitch on the board, not trip a sear like with standard markers. They are extremely low maintenance, very easy to care for and rarely break down. I'd recommend you familiarize yourself with it to some extent before buying (as I would with any other marker). www.angel-owners.com is a very good resource for all things angel (just make sure you use the search function, the moderators don't like having tons of threads asking and answering the same questions). They are pricy, and you will need compressed air or nitro to run one, so they are a big investment, do your homework and if at all possible, try before you buy.

i can't recommend the angel enough... its solid, well made, reliable, no upgrades needed, great after sales service and as accurate as your paint to barrel match... go for it you won't be disappointed...

Actually you don't need nitrogen to run an angel but that is totally different story...

Actually, yes you do. Nitro or compressed air only, CO2 will seriously screw up your internals. Unless I've overlooked some other propellant for paintball markers, nitro and compressed air are all you can use. WDP invented the things, so when they tell you in their manual DO NOT USE CO2 they're probably not too far off.

Well well well... Here in Finland we have this guy called Mara "raato" Grönfors who happens to own an Angel which runs on Co2 and if I ain't completely mistaken there also was a team that was called Twilight (played millennium Ama couple of years) That team used almost solemnly these "fallen" angels that used co2.

Actually I have used one myself.

Ok it is true that angel needs couple of modifications to run on co2 but it ain't impossible and they actually work very well.

And here is a link to a picture: http://www.warpig.com/paintball/tournament/milleniumseries/2001/joy_masters/gallery/CO2Angel02142.JPG

(ok it is one ugly mot*** fu****):D
