I have a space frame on my LCD, all you have to do is cut a groove into the back of the frame and drill a hole for the set screw, easy as 1, 2, 3. I did it with a dremel and a cordless drill, but if you have access to any better equipment, I'm sure it'd be even easier. There was a guy at angel-owners.com who said he made a space frame for the LCD, but he never got pictures up or anything. If you go to angel-owners.com and search for "space frame" or "IR3 frame" you should be able to find some info (although I'm the only one there who has actually mounted an LCD board in an IR3 frame).
Good luck
