just curious for you Angel A4 owners out there, i'm thinking about buying one of these, but i'm using a HP preset, just curious whether this will work on an A4 straight away! or will i have to do some sort of adjusting!?

Thanks, Luke.

Over at www.angel-owners.com there's the instructions on how to rearrange your mini reg spring stack, not tough at all. Everything Speed on up is LP though, so for the sake of future upgrade compatibility, you might just want to pick up a LP preset.

I like the way you complain bitterly about other guns saying Timmys are just overly expensive spyders yada yada, then when it comes to your own gun needing to be disassembled and put back together (and people having to find that out on their own) in order to work with such a common thing as an 850 pre-set - then that's "not tough at all" and no big deal.

food for thought next time you bag on in one of the other threads ;)

its not the marker that needs stripping,it's the bottle reg(doesn't work anyway:( )
the manual tells you you need lp air

WOAH!! Little PMS or something? You musta been stewin' on that for awhile eh? I haven't posted in a timmy discussion in months. Makes you wonder why you don't just PM me or post when the topic's at hand instead of jacking a thread, but...

New angels are advertised as LP, it's one of the top new features; the manual tells you to use an LP preset or adjustable tank. You can buy a LP preset for the same price as a HP preset, so the logical thing to do would be to use a LP tank. If you do, you will never need to dissasemble and reassemble anything. If you *have* to use a tank that the marker WASN'T DESIGNED FOR, changing the arrangement of a spring stack is a relatively simple thing to do. I don't consider the angel's optimum operating pressure to be a general fault or problem with the marker, or the marker's quality. Every marker will have faults. Every marker will need a tune up. Every marker will wear out. I've never said that the angel is perfect, but compared to the majority of it's competitors, I find it's quality, design, and craftsmanship to be of a higher caliber. My complaints about timmy's having a cheapy base design, build quality and overall feel for their price isn't at all based on what type of regulator they use, and has nothing to do with any of the topics discussed in this thread, so I really don't see the relevance or point of your post. If you want to compare and contrast the timmy to other electros, or just discuss it on a general level, go start a thread and let it be hashed out again and again ad nauseam.

i havnt read throught the whole thread, so if it has been covered i apologise in advance, "you are wasting your time trying to get a speed to operate on 800 + tanks", as iam sure tom and the good Dr may recal trying to help me out ! after approx 3 weeks of heart ache, and my gun firing at 450 bps i finally gave up ! none of the shim settings brought the working pressure low enough, although close, the gun did not operate well, and was very inconsistent..... so what i did was got me mate to order a pmi bottle for 110 quid, gave him 85 for the tank, and he kept the hp reg, i then used an adjustable Nitro duct reg, and set the reg down to 400, the gun runs very very sweet, more so with the evolve adjustable lpr too................... well i bored you all now !

Cheers
Richie
